Motivation Matters - Why Staying Motivated Equals Greater Success
By Victor Ghebre

If goals are our pathways to personal success, then motivation is the fuel that keeps the car going! Just like fuel in a car, motivation may be high at the beginning of your journey, but as you move toward your goals, the peaks and valleys may impact your motivation levels.

People from all walks of life need to find motivation. You may be setting a personal goal for yourself, about to start a new job or just wanting to get up and do the laundry! Whatever the case, it is absolutely normal for everyone to have brief lapses in motivation, so don't be so hard on yourself. The important part is how you recover from these lapses; your ability to find inspiration and that drive to keep pushing on. The bottom-line is if you want to have a life of fulfillment and happiness, you need to be able to motivate yourself. But all too often that is easier said than done.

Lack of motivation is an overwhelming feeling that can kill your drive to complete a particular task, but don't let it!! The rewards of staying motivated far outweigh the silly reasons you may come up with to not complete a task. When you are able to motivate yourself you will find greater success in achieving all your goals and objectives. That satisfaction is truly awesome. Also, have you ever noticed that motivation is contagious? Another interesting by product of self motivation is the ability to motivate others. This is of great importance if you are a business owner, but can also be beneficial in many other settings and relationships. Most importantly once you tap into the secrets of staying motivated you will be able to use those skills to achieve all your goals, which will in turn lead to even greater success.

So maintain stock of the things that keep you motivated and do your inventory often. You will soon find that you are better able to achieve goals in all areas of your life.

How to Remain Motivated All Day Long - Master Your Life & Achieve Astonishing Results
By Tamara Ruttan

What is in your mind is in your life- what you think becomes what you do, firstly. Consider that if you are thinking negative all the time, and wondering why is this always in my life- well it's because you are constantly worrying and thinking over it. First to motivate yourself, you need to motivate your mind- put positive food in it; give yourself food for thought. "How?" you are asking; its simple- feed yourself things that will benefit you, not cause harm.

Get to work on something you have been procrastinating on for a long time- and do it NOW; and give yourself a timeline shorter than you planned to finish it, and you will see you can finish it. Don't let anything distract you; there will be many distractions, but only you let them distract you.

Be your own inspiration, many people look to others for what they need- and the answers in life- what you don't realize is you look inside yourself, getting the answers from yourself will give a great motivation, because your taking the baby steps to life; your taking action on yourself, with yourself- without anyone else helping. Your first steps are your own, no one else's.

Watch videos; read books- take action; be the change you want to see. Many people want to see the world peaceful, but what they don't realize is when you look for peace outside you won't find it, it is inside of you- if you want that peace bad enough you will get activated.

Tell yourself no negative words- others have done it- you can do it too- learn from their mistakes, so you don't have to make the same mistakes. Read the from the best, about the best- when you spend all your time educating yourself, bringing yourself up, becoming better- becoming the person you are inspired to be- you will have no more time to criticize others, no more time to see the bad things, no more time to think about it, or even think its worth your time.

Let me ask you this? If you have gotten nowhere so far, don't you think it's because of your actions; if you are still sitting here wondering why am I not what I dreamed I would be a day ago, a week ago, even a year ago? The best way to start getting motivated is to inspire yourself- anyway you know how. If you don't know how then watch how others do it, get ideas how to do it, take from many sources; this will help you to start seeing the big picture. The thing is you sit inside a picture frame, you need to go out to look in- see how others did it, see what you can be doing and what you were doing- so you see what you are doing now.

Take a good look at yourself- find what you want to change write it down, and don't just put it in the drawer and away- put it where you can see it everyday; and say I am better things- motivate yourself; say I am a great artist; I am in shape; I am the things you want to be- what is in your mind is in your life put your mind to good use- don't get distracted by negativity, or procrastination; make yourself worthwhile- aren't you worth it?

Getting motivated is getting inspired, is giving yourself the drive to do anything; to float your own boat in your own mental water- and that water is the knowledge, and wisdom you can feed yourself- watch how others got there, to where you want to be; see what they did where they want wrong, so you can dodge the bullets that hit them, and go even faster than you were even imagining.

Set a goal for yourself if you think you are not reaching it; don't change the goal- don't back out and say I cant do it- change your methods of getting there. If one way isn't working- that doesn't mean new doors don't open, it doesn't mean you cant- it just means there is a better new way to get there.

Anywhere you set your mind to you can get there- you are already there if you can set your mind to be there. Get ahead of yourself- before others do- let yourself jump to the conclusions that matter- your life. It's your life are you going to define it yourself, or let procrastination be your life? Take control of yourself, it's the best way to get motivated when you finally take your own life by the ears and say, hey listen to me now- not anyone else- I want to do this, I will- and your going with me; you will love it.

The choices you make are your own choice after all- get motivated by inspiring yourself, by taking action, seeing how the best are the best. Everyone has to get there; why cant you- stop making excuses and make proactive uses. Be the best forget the rest; aren't you worth it?

An Absolute must know for you- And here's a GREAT little SECRET that I have found which will help you actually pickup any women without SAYING a word to them! Not a single word! And NO rejection either. You won't find this anywhere else either. What you need to do is Continue

My name is Richard MacKenzie and I am an author and hypnotherapist that has personally helped thousands of people to realise their dreams and achieve their desires. I truly believe that as humans we limit ourselves on what is possible and ultimately on what is impossible. I believe that some people by their very nature decide to play it safe in life, so therefore have no need for motivation as they play from the sidelines. However sometimes we can adopt these attitudes and beliefs from our parents and friends and if we do want to achieve, we find it hard to as we have learnt to play it safe. This is where we need to seek help to get the motivation to achieve what we do want and need from life.

Working with the part of your brain called your sub-conscious mind, hypnosis is able to reprogram all of those unwanted beliefs, habits and behaviours that have you playing it safe. The hypnosis begins to reprogram you sub-conscious mind to create the motivation that you need to achieve the goals that you set for yourself.

The meaning of success and what it is is different for everyone. What do you want to achieve in life? What would complete your meaning of success? A prestige car, a promotion, a family – what would you achieve? Success is your right!

The Power Of Positive Habits

Put your Mind & Body on "Autopilot" and reach your goals...automatically!

Did you know that habits are incredibly powerful tools for personal growth and success?

Think about the habits you have now and how they affect virtually every aspect of your life. Your weight and health are determined by your eating habits. Your relationships with people are determined by your social habits. Your success at work is determined by your work habits. You have sleeping habits that dictate how well you sleep. You have sexual habits. You even have buying habits; just take a look around your house and you will quickly see them. Our character, health and virtually every aspect of our lives are indeed determined by our habits.

If you ask ten people on the street what the word habit means, nine out of ten will tell you that a habit is a negative action that people do over and over again, like smoking, or procrastinating, or eating too much. Bad habits get all the press. Let’s look at the results of just one bad habit: smoking. Every year, over 400,000 people lose their lives to smoking-related illnesses in the United States. Imagine then, the negative power that exists in just that one bad habit. It is staggering.

Now I want you think about an even greater power, a power that can bring you success, health and happiness; a power for positive, permanent, and automatic personal growth: the power of positive habits. Let’s look a little closer at the meaning of the word habit. Random House dictionary defines habit in this way:
Habit: An acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary.

The important words in this definition are acquired and almost involuntary. Let me ask you a question. When is the last time you sat down and said to yourself, "Today I am going to add a new habit to my life?" I would venture to guess that you have probably never said those words. As you read this article, you will see how easy it is to add positive habits to your life and the great power they have to change it. Think about the words almost involuntary. This means the habit is so powerful in your mind that it is almost unstoppable! With respect to bad habits like smoking, procrastination, and overeating, this is very bad. But with positive habits, this is very, very good.

What is a positive habit? A positive habit is simply a habit that produces positive benefits, actions and attitudes you want to acquire and make a part of your life. Why is there such great power in positive habits to effect change? Because habits, by their very nature, are automatic. After a period of time they can become permanent.

So how do we go about adding new positive habits to our life? It’s really quite easy. You simply begin repeating an action, attitude or thought process every day for at least 21 days. Research has shown that an action that is repeated for a minimum of 21 days is likely to become a permanent habit. Remember that positive habits have positive benefits and you will reap those benefits for as long as you maintain that habit. So now that we know what positive habits are, and how to acquire them, let’s look at some simple positive habits from the book that will help you reach your goals and have a healthier body.

Positive Habit #53 - Make it a habit to set goals

Since we are talking about goals, what better habit could you have then the habit of setting goals? Did you know that the most successful people all share the common positive habit of goal setting? A study was done to determine the importance of goal setting. College students who had gone on to achieve great success in business were asked to list their habits. The students who had made a habit of setting goals were in the top 3% of earnings in the population! It is almost impossible to overestimate the value of goal-setting as a positive habit. Goal setting is simple, yet 97% of the population never do it. By making goal setting a positive habit, you can start placing yourself in the top 3% of the population of successful people.

Here are some simple steps to help you start making goal setting a positive habit:

Step 1 - Define your goals, write them down, and be very specific; capture your goals on paper. It is amazing how many people never take the time to write down exactly what it is they want in life. Remember, you can’t hit a target if you don’t have one.

Step 2 - Determine what the time line is for reaching your goals; set specific deadlines for each goal.

Step 3 - Identify any obstacles that may stand in your way, list them, and state how you plan to overcome them.

Step 4 - Make a list of the people and/or organizations who will help you reach your goals.

Positive Habit #3 - Take Flax Every Day for a Healthy, Trim Body and Lower Cholesterol!

What is flax?

Flax is a blue-flowering plant known for its oil-rich seed. People have been eating flaxseed since ancient times, it has a pleasant, nutty flavor. The health benefits of flaxseed and flaxseed oil are significant and for that reason this habit is recommended as a primary habit for health and a trim and fit body. Here are some of the benefits of flaxseed and flaxseed oil:

Flaxseed contains both soluble and insoluble fiber. Several studies have shown that flaxseed can help to lower cholesterol in the same way that other soluble fiber foods like oat bran and fruit pectin do. A study at the University of Toronto showed that total cholesterol levels dropped 9% and LDL (the "bad" cholesterol) decreased 18% among a group of women who ate milled flaxseed cooked into bread every day for a period of 4 weeks.

Flaxseed is one of the richest sources of lignans and alpha-linolenic acid. Studies suggest that lignans may help to prevent certain cancers. Flaxseed is one of the few plants in the plant kingdom that provide a high ratio of alpha-linolenic acid (an omega-3 fatty acid) to linoleic (omega-6 fatty acids), it is an excellent source of healthy polyunsaturated fat.

A new study has confirmed that the positive habit of taking flax seed daily can help you get a trim and fit body. I interviewed Dr. Sam Bhathena, a researcher at the Phytonutrients Laboratory of the US department of Agriculture, he said, "we have observed that flax seed meal is much more effective in lowering cholesterol then soy. Several other studies have shown that in general, omega-3 fatty acids, lower lipid deposition, and help in reducing body weight."

Omega-3 fatty acids — More than half the fat contained in flaxseed is omega-3 fatty acid type, an essential fatty acid. There have been numerous studies reporting the health benefits of consuming omega-3 fats. Recent studies suggest that omega-3 fatty acids which are abundant in flax seed can help protect you from coronary artery disease, stroke, high blood pressure, autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. Studies on the effects of flax seed on breast cancer are now under way. Omega-3s can also help boost your metabolism, helping your body to burn calories faster.

Flax is available as raw seed, ground seed and also as an oil which is made by cold pressing flax seeds. You can purchase raw flax seed, ground flax seed and flax seed oil at most health food stores. The easiest way to incorporate flax seed into your diet is to buy ground flax seed meal and add it to your food.

· Substitute for cooking oil or shortening in baked goods.· Add ground flax seed to pancakes, waffles and cereals.· Put ground flax seed on salads.

Here is a great recipe for a super health shake. Make a protein shake with 8 ounces of your favorite juice such as apple or orange, add 2 tablespoons of flax seed oil, 2 tablespoons of soy powder, 1 tablespoon of lecithin, fresh fruit such as bananas, papayas or blueberries. Blend with a hand blender or an electric blender. This power shake will provide you with the health benefits of soy; omega-3’s, fiber, antioxidants, and enzymes from the fruit, and the fat loss benefits of lecithin.

How To Increase Your Motivation To Live Your Dreams by Hani Al-Qasem

How badly do you want your goals? How motivated are you to be persistent in going after your goals and dreams until they are achieved?

How much you want your goals and dreams determines the strength of your motivation. It is that strength that will steadfastly pursue your dreams irrespective of any challenges, setbacks, oppositions or confrontations.

I recall a friend who set himself a goal that he felt extremely excited about. He talked for days on end about that goal; what it meant to him and how he really wanted to achieve it within six months at the most.

A couple of months later, my friend Bill, took me aside. I could see he was feeling miserable and despondent. He went on to tell me how disappointed he was that his goal had not materialised.

“Goal? What Goal?” was my honest answer. It was not what Bill wanted to hear.

“You know, my goal to get a toned body,” Bill answered, with a sense of defeat and frustration in his voice.

“Oh that. I thought you were kidding. We all figured you changed your mind since we don’t see you going to the gym anymore,” I replied.

What happened here?

In the beginning, Bill was excited about his new goal of getting a firm and toned body; a sculptured chest, arms and thighs. He was full of motivation and determination to achieve that goal.

He consistently went to the gym four to five days a week. He took his protein shakes, his Creatine and chatted non-stop about his training schedule and how pleased he was with his progress.

By the third month, he started to go to the gym twice a week and mid-way through that month it trickled to once a week.

His dilemma was he couldn’t understand why his motivation to workout had dwindled to once a week half-way through the third month.

“At the beginning, I was so full of enthusiasm and motivation. I felt nothing could stop me,” he explained.

So what went wrong? Where did his incredible motivation go?

After careful examination, it came to light that Bill had lost his initial burst of motivation because he was not really passionate about being toned.

It was merely a passing ‘wish’. In other words, he did not want to be toned badly enough. If he did, if he felt passionate, he would have continued his workout routine no matter what challenges or distractions he faced.

Bill was torn between two thoughts. The first said, “Yeah I’d like to have a toned body.” But his conflicting second thought argued, “Sure, but you could get along in life without it.”

And who won? His conflicting thought had the upper hand. You see, Bill would have ‘liked’ the toned body, but he did not turn that want into a solid goal. The toned body idea remained just that, an idea or a wish. As such, his once powerful motivation had weakened until it was there no more.

If he had turned it into a goal, he would have sought after it. He would have been motivated to pursue that goal irrespective of how tired or how busy he was.

After all, it was his goal. And goals are meant to be achieved.

Passion ignites the drive from deep within to maintain the motivation to reach all sorts of goals and dreams. Passion provides the fuel to keep you in a highly motivated state of mind.

Once you find out what you are passionate about, boost your motivation to remain persistent regardless of any setbacks and obstacles.

In time , your motivation will increase in momentum regardless of any distractions or interruptions. Motivation pushes you to take consistent daily action to achieve and live your goals.

Motivation is the Key to Success
By Kevin Sinclair

Motivation is the key to success in each of our lives. While success is something that is relatively personal, and means something different to everyone, the ultimate goal of success is to achieve a goal, or a set of goals. Let's say that you asked ten different people what they feel an appropriate definition for success is, you may be surprised to find that each of these individuals have a different perception of success. While it is true that we all have our own perception of this term, there is one thing that remains consistent and unchanged, and that is that motivations is the key to success.

There are a number of things that get us excited. Let's say that you got that new job that you have had your eye on, or you just discovered that it is quite possible to get started in a home based business that can be financially lucrative. Chances are, you are total psyched about your new found opportunity, right? This excitement that you experience during times in which you have been given an opportunity for success is a type of motivation. It has been found, in addition to excitement being a type of motivation, that motivation is also a type of excitement. In order to succeed in life, it is equally important to be excited about the dreams and aspirations that you have, and in turn, this will result in the motivation that is required to be successful.

Motivation comes with its share of complications. The most common complication that is experienced when it comes to motivation is staying motivated. While it may be easy to remain motivated for a short amount of time, it takes a great deal of discipline to stay motivated over the course of a long period of time. If you want to achieve success in your life, you must have a number of creative approaches that will assist in maintaining the proper amount of motivation to do so. It is absolutely necessary to ensure that you dedicate time each and every single day to the motivation that you need.

One of the first ways that you can achieve a heightened state of motivation is to read book that are available on the subject. There are a number of authors that are exceptional when it comes to sharing with their readers the secrets of success and motivation. These authors include Stephen Convey, John C. Maxwell, Dennis Waitley, and even Joyce Meyer. Just dedicating approximately fifteen to thirty minutes a day to the task of reading these types of books can be extremely helpful in motivating you while you work to achieve the success that you desire.

While this is just one example of a way that you can maintain a high level of motivation, it is a very positive and productive manner to stay on top of the excitement and motivation that you need to experience in order to achieve the goals that you have set for yourself. By achieving these goals, you will easily become the master of your destiny. You will truly achieve the success that you anticipate. In addition to this, you will learn effective strategies for being the best person that you can be! Get motivated! This is the key to your success.

More About Me

Hello There!

Thanks for visiting my motivational blog! I wrote earlier a little about myself but of course there's more to tell. So you won't get lost, I recommend reading my first 'Welcome' post which introduces myself to my readers.

Now, in continuation, after I kicked my husband out and he moved out of the house, I was scared. I wasn't sure what was going to happen next. I wasn't sure how I was going to pay my bills, what I was going to be left with (the car, furniture, etc). My ex, ended up leaving me the car and had his cousin come pick him up. A few days later he came back in a Uhaul and picked up the rest of his stuff. He left me with most of the things and mainly took his clothes, personal belongings that were his prior to our marriage (CDs, DVDs, etc) and a large weight lifting machine.

Anyway, I had some money in the bank, but not much so I thought I would be ok. I wrote a check out for the rent and mailed it off. Little did I know that my ex went to the bank and cleaned out the account. I was furious because I had no idea how I was going to pay my rent. I called him and he said he needed money to get by since he didn't have a roof over his head or a car. He said he had a bike, which he was using to get back and forth to work and was staying with a cousin and her husband.

So, I ended up borrowing from family and friends, which I hate to do. Like I mentioned in my last post, I had no job but I had bills to pay. I was desperate. My ex refused to give me any money for the kids and I couldn't find work, so I was forced to go to the county for help. I found out there was a lot of programs out there that would help me. There were programs for food (WIC)and Cash aid. There were also programs to help me pay for my electric bill, send me back to school so I could get a good job and become self sufficient and even a program that would help me get a job and even pay for childcare. I felt a whole lot better knowing there was help available for me.

So I applied for them all, got back on my feet and am now going to school. My goal is to become a Mental Health Counselor or Case Manager for the County. I'm taking advantage of all the programs out there so I can give my kids the things they deserve. I also want to 'give back' as they say so that's why I want to become a Mental Health Counselor.

When I first signed up for one of the programs they told me they were going to send me to college and pay for a year's worth of education. Prior to sending me there they wanted me to complete some other classes on Grief and Loss (since I was going through a divorce and had some recent deaths in my family), Self Esteem, Goals, Health and Nutrition, Anger Management and Depression and Anxiety Classes. Since I was newly separated and going through a divorce, they wanted to make sure my head was on straight because they pay for the education in advance and didn't want me quit because I couldn't handle my problems. At first I didn't feel I belonged in those classes because there were women (and a couple of men) there that had some serious depression and anxiety issues. My heart went out to them but I really didn't feel like I fit in. But, I was 'required' to be there if I wanted to receive my cash aid, so I stuck it out. In time, I realized that I did have some issues that needed to be worked out. I also realized that if I had to pay for all these services on my own it would cost me thousands of dollars. So I changed my way of thinking and took advantage of all they offered me.

I learned so much going to those classes. I ended up becoming a mentor there at the school as well. I was a new person, someone my ex did not recognize. I was no longer this timid, woman that would do everything he said and was more like an obedient 'puppy dog' than anything else. I had a mind of my own. I was motivated to try and do new things. I was beginning to like myself again. I could see the light at the end of the tunnel and I was quickly moving toward it.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say in this post is that I have gone through a lot, and I can honestly say I've come out of it a new woman full of motivation and positivity for my future. I CAN and WILL succeed!

Best of Luck to You!

Anna

Don't Quit Poem on Video

I saw this on YouTube and thought it might motivate you not to quit.

Learn Ways to Motivate Yourself
By Jennie Gandhi

Being motivated in life is quite difficult with showers of sadness and sorrow that soak us from time to time. You just struggle out of one stormy weather only to get into another. At this time the mind conjures negative emotions and with increasing bitter incidents it gets ugly.

For instance you start your own business, but burn your fingers and when you try to withdraw you only realize you are neck deep in debt. So how do you overcome such untoward accidents? Well as it is said, 'it's all in the mind'.

If you are feeling negative, your mind builds a consortium of negativity, but if there have positive thoughts then your mind will flood you with all the goodness in the world. So how do you shift the direction of your mind?

First understand yourself and your thoughts. Learn what situations pinch you and what bring a smile to your face. So for instance when in a bad mood you meet your friends baby on the way and play with it, suddenly you have forgotten all your worries, then you know what calms you. Similarly know what triggers your emotion and try to keep away from it.

There are basically three foundational reasons why you lose motivation in life.

a) Lack of confidence - So you want to learn cooking but create a blunder every time you enter the kitchen. Now you think you are not fit to be in the kitchen and give up. Moreover if someone says that you are horrible in the kitchen it adds to your gloominess and increases negativity. All this is simply because you lose confidence in yourself.

b) No focus - You do not know what it is it you want. You are giving all your attention to the things you do not have. A designer dress, coveted furniture or that pricey promotion. This makes you jealous of people who posses those things and changes your attitude towards them.

c) The direction - you do not know where you are heading. You want to buy a house but do not know which one to pick. You finding it difficult to arrange for the down payment and so are in panic. This occurs because you are not taking one step at a time. You lacked homework and are now in the lurch.

Now that you know the reasons lets look at the solutions.

a) Build your confidence - list down all your positive aspects and the negative aspects. Now look at how you can better your positive and cut down the negativity. Read books on how to get better, exercise and eat healthy. Look into the mirror daily and say, 'yes I can do it!' Then you can cook or do whatever you want.

b) Increase concentration - whenever your mind wanders away try to get it back on track. Your mind follows a pattern; once you can crack the pattern you can amend it too. Think of yourself as you have the dress, the furniture you dream of or the promotion you seek and soon you will have it.

c) Know where you are heading - write the list of things you want to do. Then take up one at a time and study it thoroughly. Make up your mind on do's and don'ts. Take some professional help if you need. So if you want to buy a house, what is the first step? Sought out your money and put everything in writing. This serves as a ready reckoner whenever you want to fall back on it.

Always remember there is no one perfect in this world. So do not be disheartened if you do not succeed. Be yourself and improve yourself - your dreams are then not far away.

Let your peers enhance your motivation level through communication, wisdom and team building activities. Motivation helps in improving your communication skills, enhancing confidence and achieving success.

Welcome!

Hello, my name is Anna Allen and I a single mother of three wonderful children. I was in an emotionally abusive marriage for 10yrs and decided I did not want to put my kids through that so I kicked my husband out.

At first, I was very scared. I did not know what I was going to do. My husband was the bread winner. In fact, I only worked from home, occassionally selling things on eBay or Craigslist. I also tried my hand in affiliate marketing. I sold some things but not as much as I'd like.

In any case, I needed a 'regular' income; one that would pay the bills because my husband refused to give me child support. I was forced to go on Cash Aid so that I could feed my children. I have nothing against welfare, but I had a lot of pride and did not want to resort to that. But, since I had trouble finding a job and my husband not giving me any child support, left me with no choice. So, I swallowed my pride and went to the welfare office with my head held down. I felt like such a failure for having to resort to asking the county for help, but I had to think about my kids and not my pride.

When I kicked my husband out, my brother, who was living with us at the time (my husband's idea) told me I did not have to worry about my finances because he would help me till I got on my feet. My brother (who witnessed the emotional abuse my husband conflicted on me) did not want me to feel I HAD to stay with my husband for financial reasons. As much as I appreciated the help, I did not want to take advantage of him in that way, at least not for a long time. So, when I did kick my husband out, the bills piled up and my brother helped me as he promised.

The thing is, not only did my brother help me financially, he was a huge help mentally. Now, I'm sure you can imagine how distraught I was not being able to pay my own bills and provide for my children. I was depressed and had very low self esteem. I was a very negative person. I was not fun to be around. I hated myself. That's the damage my husband did to me. The constant cutdowns, fits of anger and other parts of emotional abuse took its toll on me. For years that's the kind of thing my mind was fed. So when I kicked my husband out, I was scared, angry, felt sorry for myself and had no motivation.

So, my brother, Fabian (I might as well tell you his name since I've mentioned him several times) talked to me for a long time and continued to do so on a regular basis. Being that he lived with us, he knew most of what I'd been through. So, he began trying to get me to see things differently. He took it upon himself to try to motivate me, and it worked. He fed my mind on self help information. He had me listen to self help CD's and read books on ways to think positive and motivate myself. At first I did not want to take the time to listen to the CD's and I sure didn't want to read any books. But, he didn't give up on me. He encouraged me and kept gently pushing me towards getting the help I needed.

All I can say is, "It worked!" I've done other things as well, but if I have to credit any one thing for my motivation, it was my brother. Of course wanting to get well and be able to provide for my children was also motivation, but aside from that, it was my brother, Fabian. So Thank You Fabian! You are my rock!

So now that I'm now a woman full of motivation, I decided to create this blog to help others who need to be motivated as well. I know it's hard. Like I said, I've been there and done that. But my goal is to provide you with helpful articles and other resources (most of which I used myself) to aid you in your road to recovery and motivation. I promise to do my best and keep this blog current. As you know we all have lives and get busy, but like I said, I will do my best to keep this current and a place where people can come to get the motivational resources they need. If I can help one person then all the hard work will be worth it.

Good Luck to you,
Anna
